Mushrif: If Sunetra is made dy CM, then why are Tatkare & Patel labelled villains?
Kolhapur: State medical education minister Hasan Mushrif on Saturday spoke with the media after casting his vote for the Zilla Parishad and Panchayat Samiti election, and defended senior party functionaries Sunil Tatkare and Praful Patel while asserting that NCP is a separate political party and others should not interfere in its matters."If Sunil Tatkare is the state president and Praful Patel is the party's working president, then how can they be ‘villains' if they take the responsibility and call for a party meeting? If Sunetra vahini (Sunetra Pawar) is made the deputy CM, then how are they villains? NCP is a separate political party, and no one else should interfere in party matters. Sunetra vahini and our party functionaries are capable of making decisions."

Mushrif also spoke about why Sunetra Pawar took the oath on the fourth day after the tragic death of former deputy CM Ajit Pawar, which occurred on Jan 28. "The Pawar family is progressive. They follow a three-day mourning period. A few members of the Pawar family believed that Sunetra vahini should take the oath soon. Therefore, after the third-day rituals were completed, Sunetra vahini took the oath as deputy chief minister," added Mushrif.
Mushrif further added that state govt and central govt ordered an inquiry into the tragic plane accident. The black box has been recovered, and the actual reason will come to light soon. Senior politician Sharad Pawar has already claimed that this was an accident and not sabotage.Answering whether NCP and NCP(SP) will come together, he said, "If Sunetra vahini, NCP politicians, and the Pawar family members decide to come together, then there will not be any issue with both parties coming together. We will follow the decision taken by our party," added Mushrif.Speaking about how NCP will perform in the zilla parishad and panchayat samiti elections, Mushrif said: "NCP is very well spread across western Maharashtra. Due to the sudden and sad demise of Ajit Pawar, all the voters and party workers are heartbroken. I am sure that in this election, people will show sympathy towards Ajit Pawar. Mahayuti parties will take control, and NCP will get the president post for the zilla parishad in Kolhapur district."
