Thushar Vellappally Kerala CM V D Satheesan

Kochi: Bharath Dharma Jana Sena (BDJS) president and SNDP Yogam vice-president Thushar Vellappally visited chief minister V D Satheesan at the latter’s residence in Aluva on Sunday to extend birthday greetings.Thushar stated that the meeting with the CM was a friendly visit. The visit assumes political significance as SNDP Yogam general secretary and Thushar’s father Vellappally Natesan had been unleashing vociferous criticism on Satheesan. Thushar’s visit is being seen as a reconciliatory move.Meanwhile, Thushar said that his father’s criticisms of Satheesan were personal. Natesan has spoken both positively and negatively, Thushar said. The organization has not decided to support or oppose any political party. There was no political agenda in the visit, as he has a personal rapport with the CM, Thushar said. Tushar also remarked that the question of whether Natesan would meet the CM is irrelevant. “It is customary for the SNDP general secretary to meet the CM, regardless of the party. The CM himself has clarified that he will meet all leaders,” Thushar added.Although Thushar was invited to the CM’s swearing-in ceremony, he could not attend as he was abroad then. Besides congratulating him on his new position, Thushar also wished the CM on his birthday and gifted a book titled ‘Aashan’s Poems’. He had a conversation with Satheesan for about half an hour.Accompanying Thushar were Sini Mundappilly, president of SNDP Yogam Pandalam Union and UAE coordinator; Shaiju Manaykkapadi, SNDP Paravur Union convener; Rajesh Nedumangad, Nedumangad Union Secretary; and Yogam councillor Pachayil Sandeep.
