KANPUR: Two persons were convicted by additional district and sessions judge Ashok Kumar Singh on Thursday in a sensational triple
murder in Shyam Nagar and ordered them to undergo life imprisonment. They were also fined Rs 10,000 each.
The two were identified as Kuldeep, a resident of Shyam Nagar and originally hailing from Banda district and Ram Nath, a mason of Shyam Nagar.
Rajan Srivastava of C Block in Shyam Nagar had lodged a FIR that on July 23, 2005, his sister Sushma had informed him that his cousin Ashok Sinha, his wife Usha Sinha and mother Savitri Sinha were lying in a pool of blood and burglars have ransacked the house.
When he reached there, he found that Usha and Savitri Sinha were dead while Ashok was alive. He later succumbed during treatment.
The police had registered a case of robbery and murder. During investigation, the police nabbed Kuldeep and Ramnath and recovered the looted property from their possession.
The prosecution claimed that Kuldeep was driver of Ashok Sinha and he knew a lot about his house while Ram Nath had worked as a mson in Sinha’s house. Sinha had allowed him to reside in upper story of his house during the construction of house and later asked him to leave the place. Since then, Ram Nath was annoyed and he and his driver had committed the crime.
