Kanpur: On the second day of the All India Inter-University Men’s Judo Championship 2021-22, hosted by Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University, matches in the weight categories-66 kgs and 86 kgs were conducted.
The winners of the 66 kg weight category were - Keshav (Gold) Punjab University, Chandigarh, Harsh Singh (Silver) University of Delhi, Saurabh Singh (Bronze) Punjabi University, Patiala and Mohit (Bronze) Rabindranath Tagore University.

The winners of the 86 kg weight category included Deepak Mishra (Gold) Lovely Professional University, Harsh Preet Singh (Silver) Punjabi University, Patiala, Dhopaokar Adit (Bronze) Savitribai Phule Pune University and Pathan Samir Khan (Bronze) Gujarat University.
The guests of honour for the prize distribution ceremony were Dean of administration, Prof Sudhanshu Pandiya and Director, School of Business, Prof Suvigya Awasthi of CSJMU.
Along with them, senior faculty members of the varsity Dr Praveen Katiyar, Dr R.P Singh, Dr Ashish Katiyar and Dr Ashish Dubey were also present at the ceremony.
While addressing the participants, Dean of administration, Prof Sudhanshu Pandiya said that the performance of these players was spectacular and they should all strive and continue working for other higher-level competitions, making India proud at the international level. He also assured every player participating in the championship of full support from the university’s side under the leadership of Vice-chancellor Prof Vinay Kumar Pathak.
