FIR against five for selling land through illegal transaction

Kanpur: Police have registered an FIR against five persons for illegally selling land in the Chunniganj area, following a complaint lodged by the revenue officer.
The accused allegedly posed fake trustees and sold the land after the lease had expired and made the illegal transaction in 2021 involving a total of 26,840 square yards of land.
An investigation uncovered illegal land transactions carried out by authorized signatories of a Christian trust.
Lekhpal Vipin Kumar of Sadar tehsil submitted a report to the police on Monday, prompting action from officials.
On Tuesday, Colonelganj police registered a report against the accused, namely Mohd. Rev Johnson T. John, resident of Hathras; Anil Kumar, resident of Agra; Arpit Mishra, resident of Gangapur Yashoda Nagar; Deepak Kumar, resident of M Block, Kidwai Nagar; and Duryodhan Kumar, resident of KDA Colony, Ganga Vihar, on charges of fraud and creating and using forged government documents. DCP Central Dinesh Tripathi said, " Now, statements of the buyers and accused will be recorded for further action."tnn
