Bizman ends life after killing 5-yr-old son, attacking family
Kanpur: A businessman committed suicide after allegedly hacking his five-year-old son to death and injuring his wife and other members of the family in Farrukhabad district on Sunday morning.Police said that he posted a suicide note on WhatsApp group wherein he stated that he suffered a major loss in business and had no option. The incident took place in Ratanpur village under the limits of Jahanganj police station.According to reports, Dinesh Yadav (35), was into business of supplying maize. On Saturday night he had a fight with his wife Meena (29). His family members had to pacify them. Later, at around four o’clock in the morning he again had an argument with his wife following which he attacked her with a chopping knife.After his wife fell unconscious, he hacked his five-year-old son -Ocean to death while he was sleeping. Hearing the screams, the three daughters of the accused Divya (11), Anshi (10), Pranshi (8) and his sister Sheetla (22) woke up. When they intervened, he attacked them too. Anshi and Sheetla got injured in the attack.Before the locals could nab him, he ran away from the house and committed suicide by hanging himself from a nearby ‘jamun’ tree. Village head representative -Satish Yadav alerted the police.Subsequently, the police reached the spot and took the dead bodies into custody and sent for postmortem. Injured Meena and other children of Dinesh and his sister were admitted to Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital.Superintendent of Police Vikas Kumar reached the spot and supervised the investigation. Forensic team collected evidence from the spot.SP said, “As per Dinesh’s family members, he had a fight with his wife -Meena over some issue. Later, he hacked his five-year-old son to death and injured his wife and other children with a chopping knife. Later the accused hanged himself to death from a tree.”The investigation revealed that Dinesh had sent a message on the village’s WhatsApp group, which was related to some monetary issue. “All the aspects are being investigated. Action will be taken against the guilty,” the SP added.
