Jhansi: Around 4,00,506 candidates out of 4,44,958 candidates who had applied
for UP BEd entrance examination appeared on Sunday across 1,011 centres in
72 districts amidst tight vigilance and security.
Kasganj and Pilibhit recorded the highest attendance at 95 percent, while
Ghaziabad and Gautam Buddha Nagar reported the lowest attendance at 84
percent. Jhansi district registered attendance of 86 percent.
Hi-tech arrangements were made at Bundelkhand University which was
entrusted to conduct the examination for keeping round the clock vigilance.
As per him, 22,000 CCTV cameras and 5,651 biometric devices installed in
the examination centres across the state. Artificial Intelligence-powered
real-time biometric attendance systems, including facial recognition and
fingerprint authentication, were used
n.
The AI-enabled surveillance system continuously monitored strong rooms,
examination halls and entry-exit points. Live facial recognition and
attendance tracking were conducted from the control room. AI-enabled CCTV
cameras installed in strong rooms generated alerts regarding unauthorized
entry and the opening of confidential material boxes, which were
immediately communicated to the respective centres.
A Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP)-based communication network connected
all examination centres directly with the organizing university
