Venkaiah Naidu will visit Longewala battlefield andborder areas during his twoday visit to Jaisalmer from September 26. He will also see conservation work for Great Indian Bustard at Desert National Park.
Senior officers will welcome Naidu on his arrival at Jaisalmer Air Force base on September 26. He will go to Longewala at 4PM to pay tributes to 1971 war heroes.
He will visit Shaurya Sthal and will see the weapons, vehicles, tanks etc. kept there.
Later, he will go to Babliyanwala border outpost at Tanot. He will go to Sam sand dunes on September 27 and to Sudasari in DNP to inspect conservation and breeding activities of GIB and will go to Jodhpur on the same day.

Ashish Modi held a meeting on Friday to see preparations for the proposed visit of Naidu. In the meeting, BSF sector north DIG Arun Kumar, Col. S P Gill, additional district collector Hari Singh Meena, additional SP Narendra Choudhary and other officers were present.
Modi directed the officers of the concerned departments to start the preparations from now.
