best airport in the world

in the category of 2 to 5 million passengers per annum.

The officials of the

Airport Authority of India

(AAI), Jaipur were elated as the

airport

was adjudged as the best airport in the world in a survey carried by the

Airports Council International

(ACI). ACI, a global non-profit organisation of Airport Operators on Airport Service Quality (ASQ), had organised a survey across the world in 2016.

“Based on the results of the survey carried out by the ACI, Jaipur and Srinagar airports have been rated as world’s No1 and 2, respectively, in the category.

Jaipur airport got “Best Airport by Size” in the traffic volume of 2 to 5 million passengers per year,” said Jaideep Singh Balhara, director, AAI, Jaipur said on Tuesday.

The director further added that after operating flights to international destinations, Jaipur airport is now geared up to provide ‘Visa on arrival’ facility to the applicants filling e-Visa. The facility would be started from April 1 onwards.

Jaipur airport is already operating flights to the destinations, including Bankok, Singapore, Abu Dhabi and now the VISA on arrival would be added feather in its cap.

“We will have four extra counters to facilitate the passengers of almost 161 countries who can avail the facility of VISA on arrival. Two entries would be allowed per passenger,” he added.
