E-rickshaw assns want to be included in Vision 2030

Jaipur: Considering the importance of e-vehicles in future urban mobility, the members of the e-rickshaw associations in the city made an appeal to include the three-wheeled battery-operated vehicles in the Vision-2030 draft. “We have asked the government to give space for e-rickshaws as well in the Vision 2030. We are sure that e-rickshaws, if utilised properly as a mode of urban transportation, can reduce the pollution level in the state and can also cut down fuel consumptions to a great extent,” said Narendra Pal Singh, the president of Jaipur E-Rickshaws Welfare Association.On Monday different transport associations had been called at the office of the transport department to share their views on what policies the government can include in the Vision 2030 draft in regard to transportation.
