Watchman beats wife to death at farmhouse, held
Indore: A 26-year-old woman was allegedly beaten to death by her husband at a farmhouse in Ujjaini village under Khudel police station limits on Wednesday.
The accused, a watchman employed at the farm, was taken into custody shortly after the incident, while police launched an investigation into the murder.
DSP Umakant Choudhary said the incident was reported from a farm owned by Asif Rangrez near Anandraj Farm in Ujjaini village under Kampel outpost. The watchman, 32-year-old Rahul Barman allegedly assaulted his wife Suman Barman following an argument between them. The assault was so severe that Suman died on the spot.
Rahul, a native of Birsinghpur village in Umaria district, had been residing at the farmhouse along with his wife while working as a caretaker.
After receiving information, teams from Kampel outpost and Khudel police station reached the spot. Police recorded the death and sent the body for postmortem examination.
The couple had reached Indore along with their two kids three months ago from Shahdol.
