Set up 24x7 water control room to evaluate daily supply: CM to officials
Indore: Amid water scarcity in Indore, chief minister Mohan Yadav on Sunday held a review meeting at divisional commissioner’s office to implement immediate, accountable relief measures for residents.
To address distribution gaps, CM instructed officials to establish a 24x7 water control room to evaluate daily morning and evening supply metrics. He directed the municipal body to design a specialized supply strategy prioritising water-stressed municipal wards.
The CM also ordered immediate rectification of timing discrepancies in tap water schedules to ensure balanced distribution across all urban sectors. To check water theft and supply line losses, Yadav ordered strict legal action against individuals using illegal booster motors to draw water directly from main lines. He also directed engineering teams to fix pipeline leakages instantly to prevent transmission losses.
During the briefing, Indore divisional commissioner Sudam Khade and municipal corporation commissioner Kshitij Singhal outlined current water supply levels and infrastructural challenges.
