The driver abandoned the vehicle and fled before officials could apprehend him. A search of the vehicle led to the recovery of 100 cartons of whisky
The liquor consignment and the vehicle were confiscated. A case has been registered against an unidentified accused under the Madhya Pradesh Excise Act.
In another case, Chachariya police outpost team seized 42 cartons of illegally stored country-made and foreign liquor from a house in Parcha village, said Sendhwa SDOP Ajay Waghmare. Police are investigating the
source of the liquor and those involved in its storage and distribution, he added.
