Indore: The lokayukta police on Friday caught a govt school principal and nodal officer while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000 for resolving a complaint lodged against a private school.Gove Higher Secondary School Boys No. 1, Sanyogitaganj, principal Rajkumar Chelani was trapped by the lokayukta team after a complaint was filed by The International Convent School director Ravi Jaiswal.Lokayukta officials said Jaiswal had approached SP Rajesh Sahay alleging that Chelani was demanding Rs 10,000 to dispose of a complaint filed by a parent against his school. Acting on the complaint, the lokayukta conducted a verification exercise, during which the demand for the bribe was confirmed.On Friday, Chelani allegedly asked the complainant to come to the school premises with the money. As soon as he accepted the Rs 10,000 from Jaiswal, the lokayukta team led by inspector Pratibha Tomar and head constable Ashish Shukla caught him red-handed.A case was registered against Chelani under Section 7 of the Prevention of Corruption (Amendment) Act, 2018.
