Mhow: Badgonda police arrested 15 people allegedly for gambling and seized Rs 1.76 lakh during a raid conducted in an open field near Choral dam in Rampuriya village.Mhow SDOP Lalit Singh Sikarwar told media persons that the action was carried out following a tip-off that several people were engaged in gambling using play cards in a field near the residence of Mahesh Ginawa. Acting on the inputs, a police team led by Badgonda police station in-charge Prakash Waskale and Kishanganj police station in-charge Amit Kumar raided the spot.The SDOP said the team cordoned off the area and arrested 15 people, residents of Ujjain, Mhow, Indore and Dewas districts. Also, Rs 1,76,260, four decks of playing cards, 15 mobile phones, two air guns, four cars and three motorcycles used in the gambling activity were seized from the spot.Three persons, Rahul Kadam of Mhow, Mahesh Ginawa of Rampuriya and Chandraprakash Kaithwas of Mhow, managed to flee.A case was registered against the accused under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Gambling Act.
