CM Yadav initiates projects worth 1249 crore in Indore

Indore: Chief minister Mohan Yadav on Friday inaugurated and laid the foundation for development projects worth around Rs 1,249 crore, including a devotees' residence at Khajrana Ganesh Temple, and expressed the state govt's commitment to transforming Indore into a ‘world-class city'.Addressing the gathering at PM Excellence Shri Atal Bihari Bajpayee Arts & Commerce College, the chief minister highlighted the state govt's focus on river linking projects. "The river-linking projects will usher in a new era of development in the state," he said. "Madhya Pradesh is the first state in the country to undertake two river-linking projects simultaneously. These projects are being realised under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and fulfil the dreams of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee."Yadav said that these projects will connect states and bring about a significant improvement in irrigation and drinking water facilities in Madhya Pradesh.The chief minister lauded Indore's progress and expressed his vision to make it a leading metropolis in the country. "Indore will now be made number one in every sector. We will develop Indore on par with the leading cities of the country," he declared.The projects he inaugurated or laid foundation stones for include the construction of a new sports complex behind Kasturba Garden, beautification and widening of a junction in ward number 34, and the development of new roads as per the master plan. This includes laying a new water distribution pipeline, a new sewer line in the Smart City ABD area, and the inauguration of a 100-ton green waste plant.He inaugurated Indore Municipal Corporation's document digitisation project.Chief Minister Yadav also announced plans to rebuild Nehru Stadium and organise an IT summit to leverage the city's potential in the IT sector. Additionally, a new, grand building for the Indore Municipal Corporation will be constructed.Earlier in the day, the chief minister's helicopter landed on MR 12 road in Indore. This road, spanning approximately 9.5 kilometres and 60 metres wide from Love-Kush Square to the bypass, was used for landing and takeoff. The road's total cost is Rs 185 crore. From MR 12 Road, he attended an investment awareness programme at Brilliant Convention Center. He flew to Susner in Agar-Malwa district and inaugurated the 880 MW Agar-Neemuch solar projects, comprising 550 MW in Agar-Malwa district and 330 MW in Neemuch district.There, he also inaugurated development projects worth Rs 42.32 crore and laid the foundation for projects costing Rs 6.49 crore. He announced the upcoming Jhalawar-Ujjain railway line, with efforts to extend it to Nalkheda in Agar-Malwa district (known for Maa Baglamukhi Mandir).He also mentioned plans to provide solar pumps to farmers, initially benefiting 1 lakh farmers.
