on Tuesday held a high-level review meeting with senior officers and issued a series of directives, with focus on efficient and citizen-centric policing.
As per the officials, the DGP conducted a review of all four police zones of Indore and later directed DCPs to conduct self-assessment and impact analysis through number of cases registered against those booked and issued notices under the bond-over action.

also held a separate review of Indore Crime Branch police and directed officials to take up cases that were of very serious nature, and require constant effort and investigation to solve. He also instructed officials to increase surveillance and monitoring on social media platforms and strengthen intelligence network to prevent untoward incidents, riots or protests.
Commissioner Harinarayanachari Mishra gave a presentation on number of cases reported in Indore after implementation of commissionerate system. He pointed out that the number of complaints on Dial-100 service dropped by 14% percent in the last four months. To which, the DGP instructed for a detailed assessment of the complaints to pin-point the reported drop on the type of complaints, said officials.
The DGP also held a review meet with IG Indore (rural zone)

, and discussed police action pertaining to property offences, firearms, cases of abduction and recovery in districts like Burhanpur, Jhabua and Dhar.
Speaking to mediapersons after review meeting, Saxena said, “Issues which are on chief minister’s priority such as crime against mafia, crime against women, and other aspects of policing were reviewed in the meeting.Indore police has taken a lot of new initiatives to improve policing, and we

to ensure transparent, clean and dedicated policing for citizens,” DGP said. He, however, refused to take questions on recent riots in Khargone and other issues.
