A 13-year-old boy lost a finger after a blast ripped through his hand while he was playing with a mobile phone battery in Temla village of Khurrampur in Dhar district late on Wednesday.

INDORE: A 13-year-old boy lost a finger after a blast ripped through his hand while he was playing with a mobile phone battery in Temla village of Khurrampur in Dhar district late on Wednesday.
The minor identified as Sanjay was playing game in the mobile phone when the battery burst and injured his hands and face.
He was immediately rushed to Dhamnod district hospital where he was undergoing treatment.

Sanjay was then referred to Indore after his condition was stated to be critical. Doctors attending him at the MY hospital said that it will take time to recover.
The doctor said that the first priority is to ensure that the wound heals. After that, surgeries could enhance the utility of the hand.
It needs mention that experts have warned against the use of cheap mobile phones where the quality of batteries is not guaranteed and is prone to accidents like catching fire.
