IMPHAL: A deadly clash between two armed groups in Manipur's Kangpokpi district on Saturday morning resulted in the death of one village volunteer and injuries to two others, as confirmed by the police.
The gunfight erupted when armed individuals infiltrated the hill village of Satang Kuki, initiating a gun and bomb attack.
The conflict ceased as the assailants withdrew upon the arrival of extra reinforcement forces at Satang village, according to reports.
The injured individuals have been swiftly taken to a private hospital in Imphal. According to hospital sources, one of the injured persons sustained splinter injuries on the face, while the other on his thigh.
