IMPHAL: One person was killed and another injured in an IED explosion in Manipur's Imphal West district, police said on Saturday.
The incident occurred at DM College complex on Friday night.
A 24-year-old man, known as Oinam Kenegy, died from his injuries at a hospital, according to a police officer.
The injured individual is currently receiving treatment at a hospital, and their condition is described as serious.
So far, no group has claimed responsibility for the explosion.
In a separate incident, unidentified individuals set fire to the office of a civil society organization, United Committee Manipur (UCM), in Lamphelpat, Imphal West district.
Additionally, an administrative section of a school in Imphal East district was vandalized and set ablaze, along with a vehicle parked on the premises, as reported by a police officer.
