Traffic jams

Traffic snarls amid rain plagued several key locations including Begum pet, Panjagutta and Khairatabad X Road, leading to frustration among commuters. Several pockets in the IT corridor too experienced a traffic gridlock.

Rain relief for scorched city

A streak of lightning over the Secretariat splits the sky as heavy rain late Tuesday evening provided the much-needed relief to the city that has been reeling under above 40°C temperatures for the past three weeks.

Hyderabad highest temperature

Two days after Hyderabad recorded its season highest temperature of 47.1 Celsius, heavy rains lashed the city on Tuesday evening, bringing the mercury down to a more bearable 40.20 Celsius.

Power cuts

Large commercial hoardings that came crashing down due to the heavy rainfall resulted in extended power outages across different parts of Hyderabad on Tuesday evening.

Tree felling and waterlogging

The heavy rainfall prompted numerous complaints of tree felling and waterlogging, within an hour of the downpour. Power cuts and disruptions in air travel were also reported, further complicating the situation.

Traffic snarls

Hyderabad recorded a cumulative average rainfall of 38.5 mm with Serillingampally and Kukatpally experiencing the most intense spells of 133.5 mm and 117.8 mm, respectively.

IT IS ONLY EUPHORIA OF SOCALLED SOFTWARE CITY OF HYD WHICH WAS STATRED BY A VISONARY CALLED NTR AND DEVELOPED BY NAIDU AND OTHERS LOOTED IT. THE CITY DOES NOT HAVE APROPER DRINAGE SYSTEMAND AS SOME SAID PEOPLE ARE THE BEST TO THROW GARBAGE ON STREETS.
