HYDERABAD: Telugu students continued their good run in national entrance exams. After a stupendous show in the recent JEE-2018, students from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh fared exceptionally well in the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences (
AIIMS) examinations, results of which were released on Monday. In all, 34 Telugu students secured ranks in top 100 in various categories.
A majority of them excelled in categories such as SC, ST and physically handicapped. However, no student from both the Telugu states found a place in top 10 in the unreserved category.
In a press release, Sri Chaitanya group of educational institutions claimed 26 of its students secured top ranks, while Sri Narayana group of institutions said eight of its candidates bagged ranks in top 100.
P Namrata from Chaitanya institute secured fourth rank in SC category. L Harshavardhan came fifth in ST category.
