, all the cabinet ministers, MLAs, MPs, MLCs and opposition party leaders on Sunday confined themselves to their residences as part of the janata curfew and also came out in balconies and their residences to clap at 5 pm to express solidarity with those fighting against the spread of coronavirus.


They posted their videos of staying indoors with their family members on social media and appealed to the people not to venture out unless it is an emergency. Congress MLA T Jayaprakash Reddy appealed to the people to follow the Centre and state government guidelines against spread of coronavirus. "If needed, self-quarantine on the lines of janata curfew should be extended for 15 days for the safety of the lives of people," Jayaprakash Reddy said.

Cabinet ministers Etela Rajender, Mahmood Ali, Talasani Srinivas Yadav, Sabitha Indra Reddy and Malla Reddy, chief secretary Somesh Kumar, DGP M Mahender Reddy participated in the applause at Pragathi Bhavan.
