Ponguleti lays foundation
Hyderabad: Revenue and housing minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy on Saturday said Indiramma flats would be constructed in the same localities where urban poor families currently reside, ensuring that their livelihoods are not disrupted when they move into the new housing units.
He said chief minister A Revanth Reddy would soon lay the foundation stone for the construction of Indiramma housing units in the CURE area. Officials have been directed to complete the project within one year.
While the govt has announced the construction of one lakh housing units, more than 12,000 units will be taken up immediately as part of the pilot project.
Ponguleti, along with ministers Ponnam Prabhakar and Mohammed Azharuddin, was speaking after laying the foundation stone for an integrated sub-registrar office building in Banjara Hills.
The integrated facility is being developed to bring services from departments such as stamps and registration, survey, and other related offices under one roof. As part of the reforms, 13 sub-registrar offices within the limits of the three corporations in the CURE area are being modernised and operated in a corporate-style format, he said.
“The Sanjeeva Reddy Nagar, Banjara Hills and Golconda sub-registrar offices, along with the DIG office and other departments, will be accommodated in the integrated building at Banjara Hills. This facility will improve public services and create additional employment and business opportunities in the area,” Ponguleti said.
