Missing Hyderabad BTech student found dead in Andhra Pradesh well

HYDERABAD: A B.Tech student who went missing last month from Kachiguda was found dead in Prakasam district of Andhra Pradesh on Monday.

Kachiguda police said they received a complaint that A Rahul, a native of Jagtial and resident of Saidabad, had gone missing and was not reachable on his phone.

He was last seen at Kachiguda Tourist Junction on May 27. He reportedly informed his friend that he was going out with some other friends.

Later, he became untraceable. During the search, Kachiguda police received information on Sunday that an unidentified body had been found in a well in Prakasam district on May 30.

Upon verifying the personal belongings and articles found on the deceased, there was a match with the description and identity details of the missing student, Rahul. “A DNA test is yet to be conducted. The information has been officially communicated to the family members of the deceased,” police said. Officials are also verifying whether it is a case of suicide or foul play.
