Inspector suspended in Sri Laxmi case

<div class="section1"><div class="Normal"><span style="" font-family:="" arial="" font-size:="">VIJAYWADA: The first head rolled on Friday over the macabre murder of Ravuri Sri Laxmi, 24-year-old master of computer application student at the Sarada College Post-graduate Centre here, earlier this week.</span><br /><br /><span style="" font-family:="" arial="" font-size:="">An inspector of the Anti-Goonda Squad (AGS), Laxmipathi, was suspended by Vijaywada police commissioner Tenneti Krishna Prasad for having failed to act on a complaint filed by Sri Laxmi against Y Manohar, her classmate and killer.</span><br /><br /><span style="" font-family:="" arial="" font-size:="">On October 18, 2003, Sri Laxmi had complained to the then commissioner of police that Manohar had been tormenting her in the "name of love".The police chief had entrusted the case to the AGS.</span><br /></div> </div>
