The AP High Court on Thursday directed the police to register a case against former chairman of Tadipatri municipality and others for alienation of 25.09 acre municipal land at Sajjaladinne in the Tadipatri revenue division to a third party in an unlawful manner.

HYDERABAD: The AP High Court on Thursday directed the police to register a case against former chairman of Tadipatri municipality and others for alienation of 25.09 acre municipal land at Sajjaladinne in the Tadipatri revenue division to a third party in an unlawful manner.
The bench comprising acting Chief Justice N V Ramana and Justice Vilas Afzulpurkar was dealing with a public interest petition filed by TDP leader V Murali Prasad Reddy seeking declaration of the alienation of the land by the former municipal chairman in favour of Tasaab Haji Basha and M Chandra Sekhar Rao as illegal.

The bench, while disposing of the case on Thursday, directed the police concerned to register a case against the former chairman and others and to file a report within three months to the court registry. The land should be resumed by the municipal corporation, the bench said.
