84.3% of students clear Telangana DEECET
Hyderabad: The results of Telangana Diploma in Elementary Education Common Entrance Test (DEECET) 2026 were announced on Saturday, with 21,137 candidates qualifying out of 25,054 who appeared, registering an overall pass percentage of 84.3%.
The entrance test, conducted on May 21 for admissions into the two-year diploma in elementary education (D.El.Ed) and diploma in pre-school education (DPSE) courses for the 2026-28 academic year, saw the English medium record the highest success rate. Of 14,414 candidates who appeared in English medium, 12,784 qualified, translating to an 88.6% pass percentage. Telugu medium registered 82.3%, with 7,918 of 9,612 candidates qualifying, while Urdu medium recorded 42.3%, with 435 of 1,028 candidates clearing the exam.
The top rankers were B Anandu (Telugu medium, 76 marks), Javvaji Shiva Nageshwar (English medium, 83) and Danish Ahmed (Urdu medium, 66). Certificate verification will be held at 10 govt DIETs from June 2 to 5, followed by web options from June 6 to 8.
