A student of Delhi Public School’s (DPS) Nacharam branch, Zunaira developed a keen interest in coding and web development when she was seven-years-old while accompanying her mother, an Information Technology trainer, to classes.

“When my mother taught BTech students, I insisted she teach me also as I could grasp the concepts that she taught them, easily. I learnt coding and developed my first website when I was eight years old,” said a beaming Zunaira.

Now, four years later, she is the chief executive officer of ZM Infocom, a software solutions firm in the city, which she helps her mother run. Zunaira has also developed several business applications on her own for different organisations.

’s expertise in HTML, CSS, PHP, MySQL database and Java Script to develop web applications has impressed her clients. “After our first meeting with ZM Infocom in the capacity of technical partner, we were surprised to know that a 12-year-old will be managing our project. However, Zunaira managed to develop a mobile application for us very well after enquiring about our requirements,” said Arshad Hussain, group general manager of city-based Budget Car.

Zunaira, who dedicates nearly three hours every day after school, is a specialist in e-commerce. She has provided solutions to GS Bizcart clothings, a Warangal-based company and Rhythm, a city-based fashion company, to name a few. “Now I am developing an app that will help organisations in team management. The app will enable employers to assign tasks, set targets, and review employees’ performance,” she said.

“I would be happy to see her as an entrepreneur,” said Nishat Khan, a proud mother and business development and technical partner in ZM Infocom. Her father is a mechanical engineer at a private firm in Mumbai.
