Gurgaon: A Nigerian man residing in Delhi was arrested by Gurgaon police on Tuesday for allegedly supplying MDMA and OG cannabis to a local dealer.
The development followed the interrogation of Gagan Dhawan, who was apprehended by the Sector 39 Crime Branch team of Gurgaon police on May 29 with 14g of MDMA and 110g of OG cannabis, classified as commercial quantities.
A case was registered against him under relevant provisions of the NDPS Act at Sector-50 police station.
According to sources, Dhawan told cops he had been in touch with drug suppliers in
Nigeria, who got him in touch with Martins Chike Okeke. He claimed the seized MDMA and OG cannabis were given to him by Okeke, who lives in Mohan Garden Extension near Peeragarhi.
Police said Okeke had come to India in 2014 on a business visa, and their investigation revealed that a case under the NDPS Act had been filed against him earlier as well.
