"Now, a local officer will be posted who will be more sensitive towards the problems faced by locals," he said.
Parrikar also said that he has directed Singh not to suspend constables without proper investigation as it will bring down the morale of constables.
"After inquiry, if anybody is found guilty, then action can be taken," Parrikar said.
The chief minister said another reason for the transfer is that Singh has almost completed over one year as SP North and the time "has come to transfer him from the present posting".
In his tenure as SP North, Singh cracked down on prostitution rackets and beach parties in the coastal belt of North Goa.
