In a memorandum presented to Navelim MLA Ulhas Tuenkar, who is also the chairperson of Kadamba Transport Corporation (KTC), the villagers said that in the absence of a bus service, they are subjected to severe inconvenience.
They suggested that the bus take the route that passes along Aquem, power house, Ravanfond, Gorakshwadi junction, Shantadurga temple, Aquem Baixo, Canara Bank, Mandop ground.
Tuenkar assured the people of looking into the matter. Tuenkar had said that his endeavor would be to improve the efficiency of the functioning of the organisation even as it continues to provide reliable and affordable service to the common man.
He had also said that as the Kadamba buses serve as a reliable means of transport from remote areas, KTC should continue providing service to the people without thinking much about profits and losses.
