Calangute: An accused wanted in an attempt to murder case in Kerala was nabbed by Goa police at Calangute on Saturday.
Calangute police said they received information that the accused, Omprakash, 43, a resident of Thiruvanathapuram, Kerala, has absconded from there after committing the serious crime for which an offence stands registered at the Thiruvanathapuram city police station in Kerala.
Omprakash, after committing the crime, had come to Goa on November 21, and was staying at a resort in Calangute.
The information was circulated amongst the staff of Calangute police station who successfully nabbed Omprakash on Saturday while he was driving in and around Calangute in a rented car.
He was then handed over to Kerala police, who took his custody following the legal procedure. He was produced before the court before being transported to Kerala, Calangute police said.
