ERODE: Minister for prohibition and excise S Muthusamy said here on Monday that chief minister M K Stalin has directed him to find solutions to problems prevailing in Tasmac.
"Review meetings will be conducted across the state and all issues will be sorted out," the minister, who participated in a Kalaignar centenary function in Erode, said.
"Opposition leaders are trying to flare up even small issues. Steps are being taken to close 500 Tasmac outlets," he said.
There is no plan to make concrete lines at the lower Bhavani project canal, the minister said.
"The officials were renovating the damaged walls and weak bunds. Water resources department officials are ready to explain the procedure."
Blaming the AIADMK government for not procuring land for the Athikadavu-Avinashi water project, the minister said the work is nearing completion.
The chief minister will inaugurate the project soon, he added.
