“Punjab is a very drivable state. That’s one way to put it. For those who don’t want to hurry through their vacation or are looking for a driving holiday, the state will definitely offer nice memories,” said Shrivastava.
The stretch from Mohali to Amritsar is particularly recommended. There are minor detours, important monuments, centres of Punjab’s famous martial arts and the well-known highway cuisine. The book, written by Puneet Inder Sidhu, took four months to write. The writer was driving around the state during all of this time. She recommends to her readers at least the same time to fully explore the state. The guide is a Times Group Books initiative supported by Punjab Heritage and Tourism Board.
