NEW DELHI: Delhi’s second drive-through Covid-19 testing centre was opened at a mall in south Delhi on Friday.
Those wanting to get themselves tested can drive through the Select Citywalk mall’s rear side for the tests, said a spokesperson of the mall.
The process of drive-through testing involves filling out an online form, driving to the designated collection centre, displaying an identity proof, rolling down the car window, tilting the head back to allow the collection of swab samples from throat and nose, and then driving away.
Delhi’s first drive-through testing lab was opened in Punjabi Bagh in eest Delhi by Dr Dang’s Lab, which has set up the south Delhi facility too.
Dr Arjun Dang, the chief executive of Dr Dang’s Lab said the decision to expand was taken due to high demand at its first facility. “The Punjabi Bagh centre opened just last week and we have conducted approximately 150 tests till now,” he said. TNN
