Fog disrupts transportation
Dense to very dense fog shrouded parts of Delhi-NCR, resulting in severely reduced visibility on Wednesday morning, disrupting both train and flight operations in and out of the national capital.
Flight delays
Over 110 flights, encompassing domestic and international travel, encountered delays at Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI) due to the foggy conditions.
Train services affected
Train services were also affected as low visibility persisted in the area.

Weather forecasts predict continued foggy conditions for the next three days, with Wednesday's air quality expected to reach "severe" levels due to increased pollution.

Factors affecting fog
The region, including north-west India (Punjab, Haryana, Delhi-NCR, western and eastern UP, and northern Rajasthan), is expected to experience persistent dense to very dense fog due to night moisture, clear skies, and low wind speed, as indicated by IMD scientist Kuldeep Srivastava.
