Anand, the pillion rider, was carrying a bag containing two tiffin boxes, the shop key and Rs 2,000 in cash.
"The miscreants were following the duo. When both vehicles neared the rear gate of Pyramid Mall, the accused stopped the victim's scooter. They then demanded the bag from Anand. When he refused, they shot at him twice - on his right thigh and left knee - snatched the bag and fled. We are investigating the case and have registered a case of attempt to murder and robbery," said Ajay Chaudhry, DCP (east).
In another incident, a 56-year-old recovery agent from Pitampura was robbed and shot at by unknown bike-borne assailants in Adarsh Nagar. He was hit in the abdomen and they took the bag and absconded," said a police official. He added that Juneja was first rushed to BJRM Hospital from where he was referred to Balaji Hospital nearby.
