2 pedestrians mowed down in Kashmere Gate area

NEW DELHI: Two persons were killed in an accident at Kashmere Gate area of central Delhi after a speeding Hyundai i-10 car mowed them down on Saturday. The identity of the deceased has not been ascertained as yet. The driver of the car, identified as Manish Aggarwal, 32, has been arrested. The two victims were hit by the car as they were trying to cross the road near Kashmere Gate, said the police.
“The victims were taken to AIIMS where they were declared brought dead.We have registered a case of causing death due to negligence against the driver,” said a senior police officer.
