Truck driver, 42yo woman killed in Rishikesh accident
Haridwar: A truck driver and a woman living in a roadside hut were killed after the vehicle lost control and plunged nearly 20 metres into a field near Brahmanand Turn ahead of Bhadrakali Tiraha in Rishikesh on Friday morning.
A team of the SDRF reached the spot and launched a rescue operation.
“Soon after receiving information, our team rushed to the spot and started a rescue operation. Both the truck driver and the woman died on the spot. Police are trying to obtain CCTV footage of the accident,” SDRF in-charge Kavindra Sajwan told TOI.
Police are investigating the circumstances that led to the accident.
