The new Coimbatore City Police Commissioner assumed office and immediately held a meeting with officers overseeing two-wheeler and four-wheeler patrol units to discuss priorities and strategies.

The Commissioner also highlighted the importance of road safety, urging patrol personnel to monitor traffic, prevent accidents, and educate people on following road rules to reduce mishaps in the city.

The new commissioner stressed the need for visible policing, advising officers to maintain a strong presence across the city to reassure citizens and deter crime through regular patrols and community engagement.

Patrol Vehicle Rally Organised

Following the meeting, around 100 patrol vehicles, including two-wheelers and four-wheelers, participated in a rally across key city locations to demonstrate proactive patrolling and the city police’s commitment to public safety.

The rally started from the Police Recruit School’s Armed Reserve Police ground, moving through Gandhipuram, LIC Signal, Avinashi Road, and SITRA, before returning to the starting point, covering prominent city areas.

The rally was intended not only as a show of force but also to engage with the community, highlighting police presence and spreading awareness on safety measures for women and road users.
