CHENNAI: Employees of
Samsung India have raised Rs 56 lakh for the Chief Minister’s Public Relief Fund to help flood-affected people in Chennai and other parts of Tamil Nadu.
Employees from the company’s sales offices, factories and R&D centres around the country donated a portion of their salaries towards the relief fund.
In addition, the employees are also volunteering in the ‘SamsungCareFor Chennai’ initiative to distribute blankets and packaged drinking water in flood-affected areas.
Samsung has supported this initiative by providing drinking water and blankets.
