of the Greater
Chennai Corporation
, has filed a complaint with the Chennai police commissioner seeking protection after he received threat calls for exposing
corruption
in awarding contracts in the civic body.
In a recent case filed by rural municipal administration minister
S P Velumani
against an NGO named Arappor Iyakkam, Chandrabose had submitted a letter detailing how certain contractors decided and fixed
tenders
. After it was reported on Thursday, Chandrabose filed a complaint in which he stated, “I received a threat call from a contractor.”
Earlier, on November 1, he filed a similar complaint after irregularities were reported in the Rs 750cr storm water drain and bus route road tenders. The Rajamangalam police in Kolathur then gave him protection.
