Woman held with 5kg ganja

A 45-year-old woman, resident of Sector 56, was arrested with 5kg ganja on Thursday night. Asha Devi was arrested near cremation ground in Sector 25 and remanded in judicial custody for 14 days on Friday. Accused was arrested, following a tip off by crime branch sleuths, while she was on her way to deliver the consignment to a customer. Sources said two males were also accompanying Asha in the drug deal but they managed to escape.The accused woman already has a criminal background and is under-trail for those cases. A case was registered at Sector-11 police station.
