Woman gangraped in Kaithal district of Haryana

CHANDIGARH: In a shocking incident, three men gangraped a married woman in the fields of Sajuma village of Kalayat sub-division of Kaithal district. Acting on the complaint of the victim, police have started the investigations after registering the case at Kalayat police station.
DSP Kalayat Satish Gautam said that no arrests have been made so far. Police parties are conducting raids to arrest Kala Singh, the main accused and his two friends.
According to information, victim hails from a village in Himachal Pradesh.She was married in a village at Kalayat sub-division and the accused happened to be her neighbor and her husband’s friend.
The incident occurred on the day of Raksha Bandhan when victim had left home for Himachal Pradesh. Kala offered her a lift. Instead of taking her to the bus stand he took her to the fields where he abused her. Meanwhile, he called his two friends and the three raped and abandoned her on Tuesday.
She reported the matter to police and a case was registered. DSP Satish Gautam said that police parties are conducting raids to arrest Kala. "Once he is arrested we shall be in the position to identify the rest two accused," he said.
