Chandigarh: The Chandigarh administration is set to begin the process of auctioning 10 residential sites from Tuesday. The plots, ranging in size from 100 square yards to 502 square yards, will be put up for e-auction later this month.
Interested bidders can submit applications and make the earnest money deposit (EMD) from June 2 to June 23. The reserve price of the properties ranges between Rs 3.3 crore and Rs 16.5 crore, depending on the size of the plots. The administration has clarified that an additional 5% charge will be applicable for corner plots.
Scrutiny of applications and approval of documents will be done between June 24 and June 26. The e-auction process will be conducted from June 27 to June 29. The entire process will be completed in a month.
Identified sites are located across sectors 15-B, 20, 21, 23, 27-D, 30-A, 37-A, 44 and 44-B. The estate office has made it mandatory for bidders to possess a valid digital signature certificate (DSC) to submit documents online. Applicants must register on the official e-auction portal (eauction.gov.in) through the “bidder enrolment” option and create a unique username and password.
After enrolment, bidders are required to link their DSC with their profile. Only one DSC per bidder will be valid. The administration has cautioned applicants against sharing their DSCs to avoid misuse. Detailed terms and conditions of the auction are available on the official portal.
