Panchkula: The district administration and Panchkula police have issued a public advisory ahead of a high-calibre bomb trial by the Terminal Ballistics Research Laboratory (TBRL), a Defence Research and Development Organisation (
DRDO) unit, at the Ramgarh Range on May 31.
The trial is scheduled between 10.30am and 12.30pm. Officials said bomb splinters could travel up to 1.5km, and a 2km radius around the blast site has been declared a sensitive safety zone.
Villages Bhanu and Billa fall within the designated danger zone, with residents advised to exercise extra caution.
Police have urged residents to avoid unnecessary movement outdoors during the trial period and to strictly follow directions issued by authorities.
DCP Srishti Gupta said adequate security and safety arrangements are in place, and appealed for cooperation. Residents have been asked to report any emergency or suspicious activity to police immediately.
The administration also cautioned against rumours, assuring that all safety protocols and precautionary measures will be strictly followed.
