After Babaria letter, Selja says yatra offshoot of Rahul’s march
Hisar: Former Union minister and All-India Congress Committee (AICC) general secretary Kumari Selja on Thursday claimed that the Haryana Congress’ Sandesh Yatra “is an offshoot of Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra”. She was responding to an indirect warning on the issue by Congress Haryana in-charge Deepak Babaria. During the second day of the Yatra, Selja, along with Rajya Sabha MP Randeep Surjewala and MLA Kiran Choudhry, travelled to many areas of the district. On the occasion, working president Ramkishan Gujjar, MLA Pradeep Chaudhary, MLA Shamsher Singh Gogi, MLA Renubala, former deputy CM Chandermohan and former minister Atar Singh Saini were present. “The most important thing is that the message of Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi should reach the public through this yatra. We are going among the people for this. In the last Lok Sabha elections, BJP had won 10 seats of Haryana. In such a situation, the Yatra has been started to strengthen the Congress party... We hope that the Congress will win all the Lok Sabha seats of the state this time,” Selja said.‘Letter internal matter’ Responding to questions asked by Babaria regarding the yatra, Randeep Singh Surjewala said that this is an internal matter of the party, and he will not comment on it. “The strength of Congress is the people and its workers. This strength is clearly visible in the Sandesh Yatra,” Surjewala said. ‘Very important to win’ During the yatra, former minister Kiran Choudhry said, “We three are organising the Sandesh Yatra across the state. This beginning will create a new history for Haryana. Lok Sabha elections are before us, and it is very important to win.”
