Mohali MC sees return of 26 former councillors; AAP bags majority

Mohali: Voters in the recently concluded municipal corporation elections have once again reposed faith in experience, with 26 former councillors returning to the house after winning their respective wards.Of these, 13 contested on the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) ticket, nine on Congress tickets, and three as Independents. Shiromani Akali Dal’s Kuldeep Kaur Kang also retained her seat, registering her fourth consecutive win.The results also reflected the continuation of political legacies.
