Jammu Tawi-Hazoor Sahib train re-routed
Chandigarh: The Northern Railway has re-routed the Jammu Tawi-Hazoor Sahib train, Nanded Sahib Super Special Express (02751/02752) via Patiala-Nabha on popular demand. The
Ambala divisional railway manager (DRM) G M Singh said a notification to the effect has been issued by the ministry of railways and the train, which was earlier named, Nanded Sahib Humsafar Express, is now called Nanded Sahib Super Special Express. Earlier, the train used to pass via Ludhiana-Sahnewal to reach Ambala and has now been re-routed via Ludhiana-Malerkotla-Dhuri-Patiala to join the main line in Ambala.
He said, “After it was suspended due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the train will resume the journey from January 29, departing from Hazoor Sahib in Nanded. It has now been routed via Dhuri-Patiala on popular demand for facilitation of pilgrims. The train will reach Jammu in the evening of January 30 and depart for Hazoor Sahib from Jammu on January 31.”
The train will depart from Nanded at 11:05am on January 29 and reach Jammu at 11:05pm on January 30. The same train will depart for Nanded from Jammu at 5:45am on January 31. It will pass through Pathankot-Jalandhar Cant-Ludhiana-Malerkotla-Dhuri-Patiala to reach Ambala, from where it will join the main line to reach New Delhi. Thereafter, the train will pass via Mathura-Agra-Gwalior-Jhansi-Itarsi-Purna to reach Nanded. The journey will be completed in 36 hours.
BOX: More trains likely to resume
More trains are likely to resume services in Punjab by the first week of February. Ambala divisional railway manager (DRM) G M Singh said modalities are being worked out at the ministry level to resume many trains in Punjab. “We have already raised the demand with the railway ministry to resume trains services in Punjab. We are likely to get the notification for the same by the first week of February. We will be resuming mostly all the trains on the main sections.”
